Jasper School Bus in Crash, No Injuries

A Jasper County school district bus was involved in a crash Thursday morning. No one was injured.

The crash happened just before 7:30am about one mile southwest of Yale. Illinois State Police report the bus backed up in the roadway for student pickup at a residence. The bus backed up a few feet into the front bumper of a SUV stopped behind it on the roadway.

There were five passengers on the school bus driven by 70-year-old David Sheppard of Newton. There were three juvenile passengers in the SUV driven by 59-year-old Phyllis Ervin of Yale.

No citations were issued.
