Donaldson Stepping Down as Republican Party Chairman

Steve Donaldson is stepping down as chairman of the Effingham County Republican Central Committee.

Donaldson has served as chairman for 14 years. He will be departing as of April 13, when a meeting is held to choose officers for the next term.

Donaldson said, "I plan to remain a precinct committeeman and would serve in another office if asked, but 14 years as chairman is enough. There are plenty of other good conservatives in the county who could serve as chairman."
