Authorities say a missing radioactive device, lost in southern Illinois, has been located.

The device, a well logging source holder, was reported missing in October of 2015. It had last been seen in a vehicle owned by Wayne County Well Surveys, Inc. It was assumed to have fallen out of the vehicle or been left at a job site.

The Illinois Emergency Management Agency said Friday the device had been found by a farmer in his field in Wayne County.

The device is reportedly in good condition, and the IEMA says there was no danger to the public.
