The sentencing hearing of former Altamont resident Stephen Mislich has again been delayed, this time until early March.

Mislich pleaded guilty last September to a count of identity theft for hacking into a Facebook account of a 17-year-old girl who was then a senior at Altamont Community High School. He also pleaded guilty to five counts of extortion for his efforts to get other girls to send him nude photos of themselves. He also pleaded guilty to counts of producing child pornography and distribution of child pornography, those counts stemming from one of Mislich's victims being 16 years old at the time of the incident.

Mislich could receive up to 30 years in prison on the most serious counts.

Mislich was to be sentenced today, but the defense has been granted another delay in sentencing. A new sentencing hearing has been scheduled for March 7 at 9am at the US District Courthouse in Benton.
