Police Investigating Burglaries from Vehicles

Effingham city police are investigating burglaries from motor vehicles.

One incident involved a vehicle owned by EJ Water of Dieterich, while the vehicle was parked in Rollin Hills Subdivision. The burglary occurred sometime between 5:30pm Wednesday and 5:30am Thursday. 

An impact wrench was stolen, along with a pair of bib overalls and a magnetic locator.

The other incident involved a vehicle owned by D Binder Mechanical of Decatur, while it was parked at 1604 W. Fayette between 5:45pm Wednesday and 5:45am Thursday.

A tool bag containing a circular saw, hammer drill, battery and charger was taken, as well as another bag containing a sawzall, cordless drill, impact driver and two batteries.

The side passenger door lock sustained damage during the incident.
