The Farina woman who drove into an Effingham hotel in January has been declared unfit for trial.

Parties for both sides in the case agreed during a pre-trial hearing Tuesday that 32-year-old Rachel Jones is unfit to stand trial. A status hearing has been set in the case for March 10 to decide how to proceed.

Jones drove a car through the front doors of Comfort Suites on West Fayette and through the lobby into the breakfast area. No one was injured in the incident.
