The President in Springfield Wednesday spoke of finding a better way to politically govern.

Barack Obama spoke to the Illinois General Assembly for 60 minutes and took most of the speech to persuade politicians to avoid the current level of political polarization.

Obama noted that it's partly due to political parties becoming more alike within their own walls and with it comes the lack of any path towards working together...

Obama noted that it's part of political parties lacking the desire to compromise. It's also a problem without an easy fix. Obama said that if it was so easy to accomplish than he would have been able to fix it already.
