Effingham city police have completed their report on an incident we told you about earlier that injured an area resident at Culver's Frozen Custard and Butterburgers on Monday afternoon.

Police say the incident occurred at 1:51pm in the drive-thru at the restaurant. The driver, 63-year-old Judy Hopper of Montrose, opened the driver's door to retrieve dropped change, not realizing the car was in reverse. When the vehicle began backing up, Hopper was thrown from the vehicle, which backed over one of her legs. The vehicle then struck and damaged an AmerenIllinois support wire before coming to rest in a wooded area behind the restaurant.

Hopper was injured and was taken for treatment to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. No citations were issued.
