One Person Injured in Crash Northwest of Effingham

One person was injured in a collision along Illinois 32/33 at the entrance to Stoneridge Subdivision.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department said the crash happened at 3:38pm Friday. Deputies say a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Dennis McDevitt of Effingham stopped at the intersection, then pulled into traffic and was struck by a vehicle driven by 86-year-old Robert Huey of Effingham.

Huey was injured in the collision, but declined treatment. McDevitt was cited for failure to yield.
