Stewardson-Strasburg school board members have approved seeking State approval for the sale of school construction bonds.

Stew-Stras Superintendent Michele Lindenmeyer said the bonds would be sold to finance renovation of the grade school restroom and a sanitary sewer pipe project in the grade school hallway.

The pipe project would also involve removal of asbestos-containing floor tile and replacement.

The Board also selected First Midstate as underwriter and Chapman and Cutler as bond and disclosure counsel to handle the sale of the bonds. Board members still have to approve the actual sale of the bonds and to proceed with the project.
