The 2015-2016 Illinois State Scholars have been announced by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.

To be eligible, a student must be a resident of Illinois and perform in the top half of their class and/or score in the 95th percentile on the ACT, SAT or Prairie State Achievement Exam. Once the students who meet these criteria are identified, a formula based on standardized test scores and performance-based academic data is used to select the scholars.

The Effingham High School Illinois State Scholars for 2015-2016 are Andrew Bingham, Landon Bissey, Aaron Conley, Taylor Crowell, Nathaniel Gengler, Ryan Hails, Alex Hardiek, Ashton Haythorne, Collin Hecht, Drake Hill, Andrea Hortenstine, Brady Jackson, Aidan Maloney, Josh McCammon, Jared Minor, Claire Niebrugge, Reed Schafer, Shauna Sloan and Jenna Workman.
