Two crashes resulting in injuries occurred in Effingham County this week.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports a pickup truck driven by 46-year-old Jeffrey Bushur of Springfield was stopped at a stop sign. An Effingham woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 11:09am Monday. Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports the crash happened on 1100th Avenue, just west of 1425th Street in Watson Township.

A SUV driven by 54-year-old Tamela Loy of Effingham slowed for a car sitting in the middle of the road. Loy's vehicle then picked up speed and swerved to miss the car, but ran off the road and rolled over, coming to rest on the driver's side.

Loy was injured, but declined treatment. Loy was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
