Johnson Funeral Home Acquires Hall Funeral Chapel

Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham has acquired Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham.

The purchase was official as of Thursday. The Johnsons are already in the process of relocating to the Hall location at 1110 North Fourth Street. A release from Johnson's said "the new location will allow Johnson Funeral Home to continue to serve the Effingham County and surrounding areas."

Randy and Donna Hall would like to thank the community for their patronage the past few years, and in the release said they "appreciate the service Johnson Funeral Home has provided the area for 145 years, which will continue with Patrick Johnson, 6th generation funeral director, along with Donald and Anna Johnson."

The Johnson family, in the release, said they "value the trust that has been placed in their care and appreciate the service Hall Funeral Chapel has provided in a caring manner to the community."
