During these uncertain times in higher education, Lake Land College has made a commitment to its students.

Lake Land College President Josh Bullock is offering the Lake Land College Promise. Bullock said, "With the Lake Land College Promise, students can register for spring classes with the confidence that their schedule will go as planned." Bullock said as long as the class has six students enrolled, they will be teaching the class. If there are fewer than six students, they will do everything they can to work with the students to help them complete the class either on an individual basis or to find a suitable replacement.

College officials said the Promise allows students to confidently plan their work and family obligations around their college schedule.

Lake Land academic counselor and Faculty Association president-elect Heather Nohren said the Promise demonstrates commitment to helping students complete the classes they need to successfully reach educational goals. Student Trustee Adam Doty said the pledge would improve all students' experience by taking the worry out of the scheduling process.

Registration is currently open for the spring semester. Classes begin January 11. Current students can register via the Laker Hub, while new students can get started by calling 217-234-5232 or visiting lakelandcollege.edu.
