Car and Semi Collide in Lawrence County

One man was injured when a car and semi collided head-on in Lawrence County.

The crash happened at 2pm Monday on US 50, a quarter-mile west on Illinois 1 outside Lawrenceville. State police report a car driven by 22-year-old Zachery Marshall of Bridgeport crossed the centerline of the highway and collided head-on with a semi driven by 52-year-old Alan Porter of Louisville.

Marshall was injured and was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment. Arrest charges are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
