Second Week of Deer Camp

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is reminding area residents that the final days of the 2015 Illinois Firearm Deer Hunting Season are this weekend, going on today through Sunday.
 
Hunters will be out each day from a half hour before sunrise to a half hour after sunset.The first shotgun season in November included a rainy and windy daywith a pair of quiet and sunny days. During that time there was a 9% increase in the statewide deer harvest from a year ago. The weather forecast for this weekend continues to call for dry and mild conditions.
 
Area hunters are urged to take all safety measures while out in the woods this weekend.
