Teenager Injured in Crash on Funkhouser Road

A teenager was injured in a crash on the Funkhouser Road Friday evening.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports 16-year-old Jaci Lipe of Effingham was northbound and negotiating a curve on a hillcrest at 1100th Avenue at 4:41pm. Lipe lost control of her car in loose gravel and ran off the roadway and drove up an embankment. Lipe's vehicle overturned and came to rest on its top in a ditch.

Lipe was injured, but there's no record of her being taken for treatment.

No tickets were issued.
