Two units collided at Fayette and Cherry Tuesday morning, injuring one of the drivers.

Effingham city police say the crash occurred at 11:35am when a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Richard Beatty of Effingham struck a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Kristina Snyder of Effingham.

Snyder was injured and was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Beatty was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
