Two more people arrested in a methamphetamine bust in Jasper County have received prison sentences.

Jasper County State's Attorney Chad Miller Monday said 35-year-old Michael E. Jayne of Wheeler was sentenced to serve 96 months (eight years) in prison after pleading guilty to a count of aggravated methamphetamine manufacturing. The charge was aggravated because a minor lived within the residence where the manufacturing occurred. The count is a Class X felony, punishable by a sentence of from six to 30 years in prison.

31-year-old Tiffany D. Winters of Wheeler was sentenced to 48 months (four years) in prison after pleading guilty to methamphetamine related child endangerment, a Class 2 felony.

Both Jayne's and Winters' sentences require the offender to serve at least 75% of the term, rather than the usual day-for-day good time term.

Miller said the charges stem from the October 2 search of a Wheeler residence that led to the arrest of 12 individuals. During the investigation, it was determined that methamphetamine was being produced at the Wheeler residence while Michael Jayne and Tiffany Winters' juvenile child was present.
