Teutopolis school board members Monday reviewed preliminary information on the school district's report card from the State Board of Education.

The Board hired Gail Smith as a substitute bus driver, and approved Jordan Tanner as a volunteer with the junior high Scholar Bowl team.

A special meeting was scheduled for this Thursday for the Board to conduct self-evaluation, and to do goal setting. The Board also approved a tentative tax levy for the coming fiscal year calling for an increase of more than 5% from last year. A Truth in Taxation hearing on the levy proposal will take place at the Board's December meeting.

The Board also heard a roof report prepared by Upchurch and Associates.
