Members of the Effingham Unit 40 Board of Education Wednesday heard information on the potential impact of a tax freeze on the school district.

Tim King of King Financials presented information on the District's bonded indebtedness and how that might be impacted by a freeze. The Illinois General Assembly has been discussing enacting tax freezes on local governments, and Governor Bruce Rauner has asked for freezes to be considered.

The Board also met in closed session on a personnel matter, but there was no open session action.
