Two people were arrested the night of the fight, 28-year-old Kazeem Lawal of Charleston and 24-year-old Demonte James of Mattoon, on a charge of resisting a peace officer, and each was later charged with mob action.

Others later arrested as a result of the fight and charged with mob action are 27-year-old Brian Griffin of Charleston, 24-year-old Sharrod Peoples of Charleston, 21-year-old Devell Wilson of Charleston, 21-year-old Alexis Schwartz of Ashmore, and 24-year-old Demontre Dillon of Mattoon.

Outstanding warrants are out for four other suspects for mob action: Antonio D. Hallom of Neoga, Jonathan J. Berry of Effingham, Calvin A. Winston of Mattoon, and Osiris S. Johnson of Charleston.

Mob action is a Class 4 felony, punishable by up to one to three years in prison.
