Willow Street Crossing to be Closed for Repairs

The Illinois Department of Transportation District 7 is coordinating with CSX Railroad on a project to improve the railroad crossing on Willow Street in Effingham near the Fayette Avenue intersection. The project is scheduled for November 9-15.

CSX will be replacing the crossing surfaces and removing the siding, while IDOT will manage traffic control. During construction, Willow Street will be closed at the crossing to all traffic. A detour is planned utilizing Fayette Avenue, Banker Streeet and Wabash Avenue.
