Jerry Hecht Welcomed as Hospital Foundation Leadership Council Member

The HSHS St. Anthony’s Foundation has announced that Jerry Hecht was recently welcomed as a new member to its Leadership Council. Hecht has been appointed to the Foundation Leadership Council for a three-year term of July 2015 to June 2018.

Hecht is co-owner and controller at Dan Hecht Chevrolet-Toyota. Prior to joining the family business, he was employed at KPMG Peat Marwick. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Eastern Illinois University, and his CPA certificate from the University of Illinois.

Hecht is the son of the late Dan and Geraldine Hecht. He has four sisters, and works with his three brothers in the family automobile dealership started by his father. His current and/or former community activities include: St. Anthony Parish Finance Council, Booster Club (Officer), and Choir Member, Effingham Area Crimestoppers (Treasurer), and Effingham Knights of Columbus Member, 4th Degree member, and Bingo Volunteer.

Hecht joins a team of volunteers on the Foundation Leadership Council. Dr. John Gapsis has been re-appointed Chairperson for the Foundation Leadership Council, and Nancy Wolf has been re-appointed as Vice-Chairperson. Other Council members include Lee Beckman, Mary Lynn Byers, Jeff Dust, Travis Farley, Joe Fearday, Michael Karibian, Karen Luchtefeld, Mike Mumm, Tracy Willenborg, and Rem Woodruff.

Cathy Bierman recently concluded her service on the HSHS St. Anthony’s Foundation Leadership Council. HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital extends a special thank you to Cathy Bierman for her dedication and commitment to the Foundation Leadership Council.

The HSHS St. Anthony’s Foundation is an integral part of Hospital Sisters of St. Francis Foundation, Inc., (HSSFF) that supports the high-quality, Franciscan health care ministry of HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital through philanthropy.
