Altamont Resident Injured in Early Monday Crash

An Altamont resident was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Britt Ingram was traveling on 300th Avenue, just west of 500th Street in West Township when the crash occurred just after 5am.

Deputies report Ingram's vehicle drove off the left side of the roadway, came back across the roadway, and ran off the right side of the roadway. The unit struck the ditch and embankment, coming to rest in a ditch.

Ingram suffered what were termed minor injuries and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham by private vehicle for treatment.

No citations were issued.
