The City of Effingham will unveil its newest sculpture on the west side of City Hall's lawn on Monday, November 2, at 11:30 am. Entering its 17th year, the Sculpture on the Avenues program is a self guided walking tour that begins at City Hall and weaves in and out of downtown. The effort to expand the program continues, as a way to showcase Effingham as an art-friendly community. The sculpture, "Best Friends," is part of the Randolph Rose collection.

Since 1972, the Randolph Rose Collection has grown from a small family business to one of the largest sculpture design resources. "Best Friends" joins another bronze sculpture, "Balancing Boy & Joy" on City Hall's lawn.

The public is invited to attend the unveiling. For more information on the Sculpture on the Avenues program or to set up a group tour, contact the Effingham Convention & Visitors Bureau at 217-342-5310.
