The Madison County Coroner's Office has ruled the deaths of an Effingham man and an Olney man were drug-related, but were accidents.

Coroner's Office Chief Investigator Kelly Rogers said the final autopsy report has been received. The report indicates that 31-year-old Duane Logsdon of Effingham's cause of death was probable suffocation due to methamphetamine and heroin intoxication. Rogers said Logsdon's head was turned in a position such that his airway was cut off.

Rogers said the death of 30-year-old David Davis of Olney was caused by heroin intoxication.

Both men were found dead in a motel in Pontoon Beach the morning of August 24.
