Two Injured in Crash Friday in Effingham

Two people were injured in a crash on Friday in Effingham.

The crash happened shortly after 4pm at Jefferson and Henrietta. City police say a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Tyler Roedl of Edgewood rear-ended a vehicle driven by 72-year-old Gary Ehrat of Vandalia.

Ehrat and his passenger, 72-year-old Marjorie Ehrat of Vandalia, were both injured, but both refused treatment.

Roedl was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
