Chilifest 2015 Set for Friday Night Downtown

The stage is set for Chilifest 2015 in downtown Effingham.

The event is scheduled from 5-8pm and is hosted by the Effingham Central Business Group. Event sponsors include Effingham Public Library, the Effingham Convention and Visitors Bureau, Taylor Law Offices and Midland States Bank.

Chili tastings are planned at over two dozen downtown businesses. All proceeds will benefit Blessings in a Backpack.

Live music is planned from 5-8pm by Russ Howard and by The Jed Adam Band. Jansen's Dance will perform, as will the FACE Orchestra. There will be children's historical activities, a bounce house, and an outdoor beer and wine garden courtesy of Village Wines and Gifts and Koerner Distributor.

Effingham Public Library will host a grand reopening celebration and Open House from 5-8pm Friday in conjunction with Chilifest.
