City Police Investigate Burglaries from Motor Vehicles

Effingham city police are investigating two burglaries from vehicles.

One burglary occurred from a vehicle parked in the parking lot at 1200 Jenner Avenue between 8pm Thursday and 8am Friday. A wallet containing two credit cards and an ID was stolen.

The other burglary occurred from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of West Clark between 7pm and 7:45pm Saturday. A cellular phone was taken along with a wallet containing a checkbook and a credit card.

City police are also investigating a theft of a purse and contents at 444 South Willow between 4:16pm and 5:16pm Monday. A purse was stolen containing a driver's license, checkbook, two keys, a wallet and a debit card.
