St. Anthony High School students gathered in a special all-school assembly on Friday to listen to a presentation from Abby Johnson, a former clinical director of Planned Parenthood.

Johnson travels around the United States sharing her experiences and most notably, her account of witnessing an ultrasound-guided abortion.  It was this experience that led her to leave Planned Parenthood and become an outspoken pro-life advocate. Her departure provoked Planned Parenthood to issue a lawsuit and gag order, which were quickly dismissed.

The national media quickly picked up her story. Johnson continues to be involved in the national media spotlight. She is frequently an invited guest on Fox News, and her story has been featured on the Mike Huckabee Show, the O’Reilly Factor, Focus on the Family and more.

High School Principal Greg Fearday secured Johnson to speak to the students once he learned she would be the keynote speaker at the Family Life Center Annual Banquet last Thursday night.

According to Campus Minister, Katalyn Miller, “Abby Johnson's presentation was simply empowering. She shared the truth of her own life and experiences in a way that was both relatable and applicable to the students. She challenged them to stand up for the right to life and to support those in their lives who have been or may be impacted by abortion. She encouraged the students and it was clear how impactful her presentation had been on the students. She closed the presentation with these words of encouragement: "Keep fighting the good fight." As a faculty member at the school I could already begin to see the tides turning among the students.”

Today, Johnson travels the world as a pro-life advocate. She is the author of the book "Unplanned" and founder of And Then There Were None, a ministry that supports abortion clinic workers and helps them make the transition out of the abortion industry. Johnson resides in Texas with her husband and five children.
