More than 550 people attended Thursday night's annual Life Banquet at the Keller Convention Center.

Family Life Center Executive Director Tami Shull announced at the banquet that the Silk Purse Thrift Store, a resale shop designed to raise funds for the Life Center, will soon have a new home.

Shull announced that the store, bursting at the seams at its current location, will be moving to the former Samuel Music building on West Fayette Avenue. Dean Samuel was on hand for Thursday's banquet and the announcement.

Shull said the relocation should occur sometime around or after the first of the year.

Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood employee, was the guest speaker. Johnson spoke about a moment when she viewed an ultrasound guided abortion procedure in causing her "change of heart" that led her become a leader in the pro-life movement.
