Effingham city police have released details on a crash involving injuries that occurred late Friday morning on Keller Drive at Thelma Keller Avenue.

The crash happened at 11:17am. Police say a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Christina Royse of Effingham pulled into the path of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Ronald Hartman of Mulberry Grove.

Both drivers were injured and were taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment. Royce was cited for failure to yield.

Another crash involving injuries occurre at 9:33pm Friday on Fayette Avenue at the interstate entrance ramp. A vehicle driven by 29-year-old Abdirizak Hassan of Effingham pulled into the path of, and collided with, a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Nathaniel Ebbert of Effingham. Hassan was injured, but refused treatment. Hassan was cited for failure to yield.

City police are also investigating burglary from two motor vehicles. The incidents occurred while the vehicles were parked in the 200 block of Santa Fe between 8pm Friday and 7:45am Saturday. An IPod touch was taken from one vehicle, and an IPhone 4s was taken from the other.

Police are also investigating a theft from another vehicle. A laptop computer and an undetermined amount of cash was taken from a vehicle parked at 1600 Ford Avenue someone last Wednesday.
