Injury Crash at Linden and Jefferson Thursday

One person was injured in a crash at Linden and Jefferson in Effingham Thursday morning.

City police say the crash happened at 11:04am when a vehicle driven by 67-year-old Patricia Peak of Effingham rear-ended a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Alicia Jayne of Yale.

Peak was injured, but declined treatment. Peak was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.

City police also investigated a crash late Thursday morning on Keller Drive near Burger King. No details are available from police on that crash.
