City Police Investigating Burglaries from Vehicles

Effingham city police are investigating three burglaries.

A burglary from a motor vehicle occurred while the vehicle was parked in the Lakewood Manor Mobile Home Park between 8pm on September 8 and 6:19am on September 9. Sunglasses were taken, along with a GPS, a weedeater, and an undetermined amount of cash.

A burglary from a motor vehicle occured while the unit was parked in Lakewood Manor Mobile Home Park between 10pm on September 9 and 8:37am on September 10. A set of golf clubs was taken, along with a golf bag and golf accessories. The items were valued at just over $2,000.

A third burglary from a motor vehicle occurred while the vehicle was parked at 114 East Section Avenue between 10am and 10:20am on Tuesday. A Ruger 9mm handgun was stolen.
