An Effingham man was injured in a crash in Coles County late Wednesday morning.

Coles County Sheriff's Department reports 26-year-old Corey Strader lost control of the vehicle he was driving on an interstate overpass south of Mattoon shortly after 11am. The report indicates Strader was traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle ran off a curve in the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned. The vehicle was partially engulfed in flames after the rollover. Mattoon firefighters answered the fire call, and extricated Strader from the vehicle.

A report on the crash indicates Strader was airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana for treatment, but a hospital spokesman Thursday said they had no record of Strader being treated at their facility.

Deputies cited Strader for DUI.
