Teutopolis Village Board members Wednesday agreed to cooperate with Effingham County on work on Green Street.

The County plans to work on the surface of the road, but the village wanted to improve the shoulders of the roadway, so will pay the County to treat the shoulders while they're working on the road surface.

The Board hired Telescan Industries to televise storm and sanitary sewers in parts of the village, looking for leaks or blockages. The fee is $2/feet of sewer surveyed.

Board members tabled action on a payment to Tri-S Excavating for work on Commercial Drive on the village's west end, and also tabled discussion on adopting a nuisance ordinance. Action on the fiscal year tax levy abatement process was also tabled, but the Board did decide to make roadway repairs on a section of East Water and West Walnut Streets, and then bill the homeowner there for repairs to the asphalt on the roadways.
