Taxing Bodies Receiving Local Revenue Today

The first distribution of Effingham County property tax revenue is being made today.

Effingham County Treasurer Steve Dasenbrock said an amount of $25,116,522.64 is being distributed by direct deposit. The revenue is from 2014 property tax bills paid in 2015.

The five largest distributions were made to Effingham Unit 40 School District--$7,746,663.50...Teutopolis Unit 50 School District--$2,332,592.20...Effingham County--$2,194,317.10...Lake Land College--$1,903,460.85...and City of Effingham--$1,774,226,21. 

The smallest distribution went to St. Elmo Unit 202 School District--$148.56.

The second installment of property tax is due to be paid on or before Friday, October 9. Taxes may be paid at any bank in the county, mailed if postmark is no later than the due date, paid online, or paid at the County Treasurer's Office on the second floor of the Effingham County Office Building.
