Injuries resulted from a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning outside Beecher City.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department said the crash occurred just after 10am at the intersection of Illinois Routes 33 and 128. A pickup truck driven by 35-year-old Torill Sloan of Altamont was traveling north on Route 128. A SUV driven by 26-year-old Christopher Reed of Charleston, Rhode Island was southbound on Route 128, stopped at Route 33 and then pulled into the path of the Sloan vehicle.

In the resulting collision, Reed and his passenger, 37-year-old Malinder Bailey of Charleston, Rhode Island, were injured and were taken for treatment to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Another passenger in Reed's vehicle, 65-year-old Michael Reed of Beecher City, and Sloan were injured, but both refused treatment.

Sheriff's deputies cited Christopher Reed for failure to yield turning left, and for operating a vehicle with a revoked, suspended or cancelled registration.
