Facility work undertaken during the summer is pretty much completed at Stewardson-Strasburg schools.

Superintendent Michelle Lindenmeyer said work on the restroom near the entrance to the high school gym is "pretty much done'. Lindenmeyer said new doors have been installed leading into the grade school and high school facilities as well as a security system at the entrances. She said the work makes the buildings "more energy efficient and safer."

The Board Wednesday approved roof recoating work that Lindenmeyer said would extend the warranty on the roof. She also reported on ERate financing for WiFi infrastructure that she hopes will be in place this fall. Board members also approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Neoga school district to share a school nurse with Stew-Stras utilizing the nurse 1/5 of the time and Neoga 4/5 of the time.

In personnel moves, the Stew-Stras board accepted a letter of resignation from Ryann Ibanez as a Title I aide and from Ben Giertz as a Special Education aide, junior high basketball coach, and high school assistant baseball coach. The Board hired Jaden Widdersheim as junior high boys assistant basketball coach, Torrie Antrim as special education aide, Jenny Ramert as a Title I aide, and Kim Conn as a special education aide.
