A woman has been charged with burglary for an alleged unauthorized entry to her former boyfriend's home.

23-year-old Shania Gray was in court Monday morning on the count and is due back in court later this week for her first appearance with counsel. Her bond was set at $25,000.

Effingham County State's Attorney Bryan Kibler said Gray is accused of entering Robert Harper's residence on Wabash Avenue. Kibler said Gray admitted to authorities that she took cash from the residence. When Harper returned home, he told police he noticed some items missing.

Gray acknowledged that she lived in the residence during her relationship with Harper. They have a child together.

As a provision of her bond, Gray was ordered to stay away from Harper's residence.
