I spent a lot of time this week at the Effingham County Fair.

On this final day of the event, I had the opportunity to review some of my favorite photos.

(CRAIG WAYNE BOYD ROCKED THE HOUSE FRIDAY NIGHT. WE TALKED BACKSTAGE, HE WAS BATTLING THE AFTER EFFECTS OF A ROOT CANAL, BUT "THE SHOW MUST GO ON")

Many higher quality photos were taken during the week, but these are just one person's impressions. Thanks to the Fair Board for a wonderful job of battling sound problems, the rain, and, most of all, the death of Fair Treasurer Bill Jones on the first full day of the fair to put on a wonderful show. Finally, best of success to Carl Herboth who is retiring as Maintenance Director after 31 years' service to the fair. Nice work, and thanks, Carl!
