Prison Term for Centralia Man on Stolen Vehicle Charges

A Centralia man has been sentenced to six years in prison on charges of selling stolen vehicles.

28-year-old Travis Maxfield was sentenced in Effingham County Circuit Court on Monday. Maxfield was charged with receiving, possessing and selling stolen vehicles. His sentence will run concurrent with a Federal sentence.

Maxfield faced similar charges in Fayette County, as well as theft charges in Washington County and aggavated battery charges in Clinton County.
