State is Gathering Information on Flood Damage

The State of Illinois is seeking information from individuals to establish an initial damage assessment in Effingham County. The assessment applies to residents who have suffered storm or flood damage. 

The information is required in order for the Federal Emergency Management Agency to accurately analyze the information.

Any individual who has had uninsured personal property damaged as a result of storms since June 7, 2015 may report the damage to the Effingham County Emergency Management Agency by e-mail at ema@co.effingham.il.us until noon on Tuesday, July 28. Individuals wishing to do so in person may report the damage from noon-4pm on Monday, July 27.

Here's the information required:

name...mailing address...address of damage site...type of structure (single family, apartment, business, etc.)...if you own or rent the property damaged...depth of flooding in inches in basement or ground floor, and if it was in a living area...any structural damage...phone number.
