Good News Regarding Dieterich Meals on Wheels Program

Norma Deters is ecstatic!

Due to the combined efforts of a car wash, fun run and Old Mac's donations, the Dieterich Meals on Wheels Program will have the funds to operate five days a week next calendar year.

Norma Deters, who operates the Dieterich program, thanked Wright's Furniture, Niebrugge Lumber Company, EJ Water Cooperative, First National Bank of Dieterich, Old Mac's, and Probst Auto Body for their support as sponsors and contributors to the cause.

There were 70 cars washed the day of the car wash and 80 participants in the fun run. Old Mac's was reportedly the busiest it has been.

For the record, Scott Isley of Teutopolis won the 5K race on a hot, muggy Saturday morning with a time of 18:38.
