Altamont Teen Charged w/Arson

An Altamont teenager has been charged with arson.

Effingham City Police arrested 18-year-old Nathan Beccue for allegedly trying to set a car on fire sometime Monday morning in Effingham. Effingham County Assistant State's Attorney Regina Jeon said Tuesday that Beccue reportedly had a falling out with a friend, leading him to attempt to set the friend's car on fire. Damage was done to the vehicle, a 1996 Geo Prizm. 

Beccue's bond was set at $25,000. He is next due in court on July 27.
