Effingham County Fair Almost Here

The 2015 Effingham County Fair is just around the corner.

This year's fair will run from Friday, July 31-Saturday, August 8 at the fairgrounds at Altamont.

Here's the program for this year:

FRIDAY, JULY 31--

6:30pm--Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Pull

SATURDAY, AUGUST 1--

9am--Car Show

10am--Ranch Sorting

12Noon-10pm--Tonns of Fun Inflatables

5:30pm--County Fair Talent Show

7:30pm--Junior Miss Pageant

SUNDAY, AUGUST 2--

8:30am--Church Service in 4-H Arena

9am--Ranch Sorting

12Noon-10pm--Tonns of Fun Inflatables

Three Shows During the Day--Rob Thompson Magic Act on Free Stage

1pm--Big Ten Harness Racing

5:30pm--Twilight Parade

6:30pm--Master Showmanship in the 4-H Show Arena

7:30pm--Jason Hoult (Tribute to Statler Brothers)

MONDAY, AUGUST 3--

6pm--Midway Open at Regular Prices

5:30pm--4-H Auction

6pm--Tractor Pull-Antiques

7pm--Hastings Filters Truck, Tractor, Semi Pro Stock and Antiques

THURSDAY, AUGUST 6--

1pm--Topline Harness Racing

6pm--Midway Opens, $20 Armbands for Rides, or Regular Ticket

7:30pm--C-Bar Rodeo

FRIDAY, AUGUST 7--

12Noon--Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse Racing

5pm--Midway Opens at Regular Prices

7pm--Broseph E. Lee

8pm--Craig Wayne Boyd (THIS YEAR'S WINNER OF "THE VOICE" ON NBC)

SATURDAY, AUGUST 8--

Kids and Teens Day sponsored by Effingham County School Resource Officers

2pm--ATV Pull

5:45pm and After--Regular Rides at Regular Prices

6:30pm--Demolition Derby/Lawnmower Soccer

Exhibit Hall entries must be made by 6pm on Thursday, July 30. Entries may be mailed in, and tags will be ready for you when you take articles to the fair. If you want to mail your entries in, please mail them to: Effingham County Fair, PO Box 212, Altamont, IL 62411.

Entry times at the Secretary's Office: Wednesday, July 15--2-7pm...Thursday, July 23--4-8pm...Monday, July 27--4-8pm...Wednesday, July 29--10am-4pm...Thursday, July 30--12Noon-6pm.

You can take your articles to the Exhibit Hall on these dates: Thursday, July 30--3-7pm...Friday, July 31--12Noon-7pm...Saturday, August 1--8-10am.

A reminder that all Class H entries are due by July 15. All Junior Show people must go to the Fairgrounds and check entries. You will not be able to change entries after the fair starts.
