In addition to plenty of acclaim, Altamont Grade School's Rachel Jackman also got a cool sign.

The soon-to-be 8th grader won the 7th grade girls high jump championship at the state junior high track and field meet this spring in East Peoria.

The sign commemorating the accomplishment is now in place along the roads leading into Altamont.
