Water is standing two to three inches deep in places on the grounds of Teutopolis Junior High School, so the organizers of this year's Effingham County American Cancer Society Relay for Life have decided to put the booths for the event on the parking lots.

Sarah Fuesting of the Cancer Society announced the change Thursday afternoon.

A reminder that parking will still be available in the village park north of the junior high school building. Also, Effingham County Public Transportation has agreed to provide a shuttle from Teutopolis High School along Route 40 to and from the junior high building. The shuttle will be in operation from 3-11pm Friday.

Relay for Life is set to begin with the Opening Ceremony at 5pm Friday and conclude with the Closing Ceremony at 5am Saturday. All of the proceeds will go to the battle against cancer.
