Fudning for schools will be increased. Today the Governor signed a bill that will boost educational spending for K-12 schools by $269 million.

The fiscal year begins July 1. This assures the schools will be able to open later this summer even if a budget isn't passed by early August.

Rauner wanted even more spending for education calling it the most important thing the state dsoes for the community. Rauner still will not support Democrats entire budget plan.
